1. In a heavy pot with a tight fitting lid place the vegetable oil and 3 popcorn kernels. Place on medium-high until the three kernels pop.


2. Add the remaining popcorn kernels and sugar to the heated pot. Keep covered and shake pot every few seconds. Be sure to keep the pot moving so the kernels and sugar do not burn.

3. As soon as you hear less and less kernels popping remove from heat and continue shaking the pot until you do not hear any more popping.

4. Sprinkle the pinch of salt over top of the popcorn. Give the pot a final shake and place popcorn in serving dish. Let cool and enjoy!
