- Prepare a batch Chocolate Cutout Sugar Cookies and let cool completely before decorating.
- Prepare royal icing according to previously mentioned consistencies and colours and fill pastry bags equipped with appropriate tips.
- Cover the cookies with white filler icing and let dry few hours before moving on to the next step.

- Trace the bottom half of a pretzel with brown filler icing and immediately sprinkle with heart-shaped sugar confettis. Let dry for fifteen minutes before moving on to the next step.


- Trace the remaining half of the confetti with light brown filler icing and immediately sprinkle with translucent decorating sugar. Let dry completely, 10 to 12 hours.

- To save some time, let cookies dry in front of a fan.
