Strawberry Jam with Redpath Quickset

Strawberry jam is a classic recipe that we absolutely love, if only because it means that we can enjoy strawberries all year round. Spread this on toast or biscuits for a delicious start to the day. This recipe uses Redpath Quickset for Jam, but if you can’t find it on the shelves, try our recipe for strawberry jam made with pectin or strawberry jam made with just sugar.

INGREDIENTS

What you need:

  • 3 1/2 cups (430 g) strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) lemon juice
  • 1 bag (1 kg) Redpath Quickset for jam

INSTRUCTIONS

How to prepare:

1. Begin by crushing fruit in a large pot.

2. Add lemon juice, and Redpath Quickset to crushed fruit.

3. Bring to a boil and boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.

4. Remove from heat and skim the foam off the top.

5. Fill sterilized jars to within 1 cm of the top. Seal and label.
