Maple Simple Syrup
approximately ½ cup
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
- 3 packets (42 g) Redpath® Brown & Maple Sugars
- 2 tbsp (25 g) Redpath® Organic Granulated Sugar
In a microwaveable bowl or measuring cup heat water in the microwave for 2 minutes or until water is hot and steaming.
Sprinkle the Redpath® Brown & Maple Sugars, and the Redpath® Organic Granulated Sugar over the hot water, stirring until sugars are dissolved. Cool completely.
Store cooled simple syrup in an airtight container or jar in the fridge for up to 1 month.
If the sugars do not completely dissolve, microwave the syrup for an additional 20 to 30 seconds.
Use in any drink or cocktail calling for simple syrup.
Use the maple simple syrup to sweeten teas or coffees.
Brush lightly on cake layers to keep them moist.
